About Me

I started my culinary antics before I was tall enough to reach the sink and stove, so I'm told. I loved getting involved with everything, and Mum was glad to put me to good use with helping to "pluck" the bean sprouts, wash the veges or scale the fish. Over the years, I've had lots of opportunities to experiment with cooking, and no lack of hungry guinea pigs as subjects. Of course I'll try to sedate them sufficiently with our humble selection of wine and liqueurs ;) I'd have to say that I'm rather disorganised and I tend to whip up unconventional meals. I'm now a mum to an active toddler, and she too can't wait to get her hands on whatever I'm doing. Little Missy can be found picking at a colander full of greens while I'm preparing dinner. I often look down to find a big mess of mush, and angelic smiles with accompanying mutterings of "help Mama...". Soups and curries are her favourites, so that makes up most of our everyday-food.
